Indications for Generic Rebetol

Rebetol or ribavirin is prescribed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C. It is typically used in combination with interferon drugs PEG-Intron or Intron A, as it is ineffective when used alone against hepatitis C.

Dosage and Administration of Generic Rebetol

Rebetol could be taken either with or without food if it is being used in combination with Intron A. If Rebetol is being used in combination with PEG-Intron, it would be advisable to take it with food.

If you miss a dose, make sure that you would be taking it as soon as you remember. If the next dose is almost up, just skip the missed one and take the next regularly scheduled one. You should never take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you overdose on Rebetol, seek emergency help right away, although Rebetol overdose usually does not have any symptoms.
