Be sure to tell your doctor of any other drugs that you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medications, vitamins, supplements and herbal products especially birth control pills, metoclopramide or Reglan, mycophenolate mofetil or CellCept, sirolimus or Rapamune, St John's wort, lansoprazole or Prevacid, omeprazole or Prilosec, rifampin or Rifadin, potassium supplements, diuretics, calcium channel blockers like verapamil and diltiazem, antifungal medications, erythromycin, HIV medications, antacids which contain aluminum or magnesium and seizure medications.
Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor, never consume any grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Prograf as they could have a dangerous interaction with the drug.
Prograf could decrease the amount of blood cells which help the body fight infections. This means that you are at greater risk for becoming ill or getting various diseases.
Prograf can lower the blood cells that help your body fight infections. This can make it easier for you to bleed from an injury or get sick from being around others who are ill.

Dosage and Administration of Generic Prograf

You would typically receive an injection of Prograf after having a transplant. The injection form is given up until you are ready for the pill form of Prograf.
The capsule form is generally taken twice a day or every 12 hours. Your dose may be changed occasionally to ensure that you would be getting the best results.
