Indications for Generic Prandin
Prandin or repaglinide is a type of diabetes medication which is taken orally. It helps in controlling the level of blood sugar by promoting the insulin production in the pancreas.

Dosage and Administration of Generic Prandin
Prandin or repaglinide should be taken as it has been prescribed for you. Never take it in a larger dose or for a larger or smaller amount without the advice of your doctor. Make sure to follow the instructions on your prescription label.
Your dose may be changed by your doctor if you become ill or if you contract an infection or have surgery.
Prandin should be taken with plenty of water. It is typically administered about two to four times daily and around 30 minutes before meals. Follow the dosing instructions given by your doctor. If you skipped a meal, you should not take your Prandin dose; instead, wait for your next meal.
Make sure that you know the signs of hypoglycemia or having a low level of blood sugar which could be caused by exercising too much, sipping meals or when you are under stress. have a source of sugar handy in case your blood sugar level gets too low.

If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember; however make sure that you are about to eat a meal first before taking it. If the next dose is almost, then you could just wait for the next scheduled one and just skip the one that you missed.
If you have overdosed on Prandin, then seek medical help right away. Some symptoms of an overdose would include hunger, anxiety, nausea, cold sweats, drowsiness, weakness, fainting and coma.
