Indications for Generic Augmentin
Augmentin is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium and is used for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections such as lower respiratory, sinus, middle ear, skin and urinary tract infections. These infections are caused by certain types of bacteria which produce a type of chemical enzyme which is called beta lactamase. This chemical enzyme makes it difficult for some infections to be treated.
Augmentin can be prescribed for both children and adults.
